Mindfulness in Healthcare Symposium
Clinicians, researchers, and practitioners gathered to explore evidence-based applications of contemplative practices in Ghanaian healthcare settings.
About This Event
The JCF partnered with the Ghana Health Service and the University of Ghana Medical School to host this one-day symposium at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Conference Hall. The event brought together 60 healthcare professionals, researchers, and meditation teachers to share findings and experiences at the intersection of contemplative practice and clinical care.
Keynote presentations covered mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) outcomes in Ghanaian hospital settings, the integration of traditional healing wisdom with evidence-based practice, and practical implementation strategies for busy clinicians. The afternoon featured live demonstrations of bedside mindfulness protocols and group discussion panels.
